WordPlay joins forces with the Valentine Peace Project

The February 19th edition of WordPlay at the Treehouse teams up with the Valentine Peace Project to deliver a night of spoken word performances connected with the idea of peace and more!

If you do not feel you have something peace-related that's ok! You can still sign up to perform at WordPlay!

To find out more information about the work that the Valentine Peace Project does, please see their website: http://www.valentinepeaceproject.org

There are two special features of the WordPlay + VPP event -

1) Peace Prompt:

If you would like to write a new work that is peace related to honor the spirit of the event, please consider using the following "Peace Prompt" -
Write a piece that contains the following words:
Love
Bloom
Hope
Joy
Courage
Heart
Precious
Free
Conflict
Peace
If you are bringing a work written using the Peace Prompt please let us know!

2) Shared Voices:

Through the Valentine Peace Project, WordPlay will be sharing it's voice with a sister spoken word event in New York. The idea is to have poets/performers in New York perform pieces submitted to the Amsterdam event and vice versa.

If you have a peace-related piece that you would like to share please send it to:
wordplay@freespeechart.com

You can also consider the Peace Prompt to help you create a submission.

"Looking forward to seeing you on Friday February 19th!" - maslow
